I am absolutely thrilled to say I am returning to Mountain TOP this summer as a Day Camp Manager! Last summer, I had the most incredible experience of being a Day Camp Ministry Coordinator and ever since the summer ended I have been looking forward to returning to the mountain. Mountain TOP (Tennessee Outreach Project) is a nonprofit ministry in Grundy County, Tennessee that works to meet the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of the people of the Cumberland Plateau. Throughout the summer youth and adult volunteers come to camp for a week to participate in home repairs with service project or a transformative week of day camp for children in Grundy County.
Day camp is such a special and important part of Mountian TOP and it is one of my very favorite things. Through bible stories, games, van rides, daily focus on a theme, and field trips, a week at day camp can transform the lives of the children and the youth and adult participants. We work to build self-confidence, resilience, faith, and hope in every participant and I have seen over and over again how much of an impact one week at day camp can have. Last summer one of my day camp kids was praying for our lunch and prayed "and thank you God for sending Mountain TOP down from the heavens." Another time, a day camper told me if there is every a world without Mountain TOP he doesn't want to live in it. I am so incredibly excited to spend another summer spreading God's love through day camp. I am so excited to see how God is going to work through Mountain TOP this summer.
Mountain TOP is a partnership ministry and I am responsible for raising my living expenses and half of my salary. I am looking for your support both financially and prayerfully. Anything you can give and all prayers are greatly appreciated and will help get me back to the mountain this summer. Thank you for all your support!
